There is fallacy usually found in youth that contends avoidance of conflict is peace. In fact existence void of conflict is death.

Peace is found in the context of justice. When your relations with your fellow man are just you will find a better peace. Allowing or enabling oppression or brutal injustice to be committed on your watch is not peace.
