I find it unlikely that US will take any military action against Iran. Not for quite some time anyway, and by then Bush may be out of office.

I can't say I am surprised by the events in Iraq. I pretty much expected everything that has transpired. May be Bush should have made me NSA <vbg> then again, the moment I'd told him how it would turn out I'd have been fired.

Iraqis, as a general rule, hate Iranians. So I don't think the honeymoon between Iran and Iraq will last very long. It is just that the Iraqi leadership feels a lot more comfortable with Iran than with either America or any of its neighbors...this is a marriage of necessity...besides, any government in Iraq has no choice but to kiss and make up with Iran if it wants to have a lasting peace.
