That's what got you off. Nah, that's what made it fun. ;^) He was a defense attorney before he went on the bench, and he's one of the one's that's a bleeding heart liberal type but tough on crime. He'll cut you a break if the law's on your side or nobody got hurt but throw the book at you if you commit a violent act. Some of the things you see in court can be astonishing. Some poor fool got picked up early July 5 for drunk in public after his new girlfriend and his old girlfriend got in a fight after the fireworks show, and he sat in jail for a month because nobody would go his bond on a charge that carries a $250 maximum penalty.
