China Merchants Bank is sued in golf course feud

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3, 2005

HONG KONG China Merchants Bank, the biggest publicly traded lender in China, and its president, Ma Weihua, have been named in a Hong Kong lawsuit alleging that they made illegal loans and fraudulent share transfers and misappropriated funds from a golf course developer.
