If there any method to my madness in choosing stocks to short at this point? I don't know but the plan is that in addition to QQQQ I want to short high beta stocks that are showing technical weakness relative to the index. AAPL and SBUX have not recovered above their all time highs made a few months back and appear to be in B or C waves of a decline from those highs. GOOG and HANS would be examples where the relative weakness is more recent. HHH shows a similar pattern to AAPL but has been stronger in the last few days. It's a purely technical driven approach.

GOOG and HANS are currently profitable positions and the others not.

HANS, the down is perhaps more related to the before earning decline, rather than to Barrons' bashing. Depending on how is their earning, it may have a comeback.
