LOL! ED's are fun. As you mentioned, they tend to be 5th waves, or sometimes "C"'s. In complex structures, they tend to occur at the end. They reflect a move which retains its impulsive nature, but is in the process of running out of steam... and contains overlaps. Once completed, it is set up for a snappy, hard reversal.

One must watch out for things which "pretend" to be ED's... like various running corrections, and series of 1's and 2's. Those babes can hand a trader his arse very quickly... -g
