At the same time, I'm happy a non-violent defense like the wall has been employed. To refuse to do so and insist on the right to slaughter people living on one's ancestral home rather than live in peace is horribly wrong. They are colonial settler states as much as Israel is. Surely its not that the Palestinians are more worthy than the indigenous peoples of the Americas, etc.? Second, do you think it would have been better that the Jews who escaped Europe to Palestine prior to the Holocaust had been wiped out than live in Palestine? This isn't an academic question - the Nazis made it crystal clear they wanted the Jews of Europe gone. The other nations of the world did refuse to take more than a token handful of Jewish refugees from Europe.
