ben...in this type of mkt you have to be able to separate potential negatives vs mkt momentum....momo will win most every time up to a point....if you had looked at .46 and decided no due to potential negs you lose a double in 5 days...in a run little matters except money flow....

IAUS (b9): I was very compelled by the technology, but worried about their rocky past too, so I called the company and spoke to Randy Johnson. I didn't see insider "sales" as an issue, but did see the stock option plan for 100M shares for the company President vesting through 2010 as something worth asking about. I also was a bit skeptical of everyone having the same last name.

My primary question to Randy was why their sale of their automated order system they announced in 2003 never amounted to any revenues. Randy explained that it was a case of patent infringement and in the settlement IAUS transferred their patent to the other party and licensed it back from them. Randy said IAUS has received some payments and is scheduled to receive more payments down the road. The 10k gave a little explanation of this.

They've also previously spoken of big orders in 2003 for their solar technology that never materialized, like a $300M sale to a power plant.

So in the end I decided it looked a little too risky for me at this point. But maybe if I see some big orders being "delivered" later this year my mind will change.

But for the sake of our economy and energy independence, I hope these guys are for real.

IAUS, has a very smelly history, and so I would be flabbergasted if their solar tech amounts to anything, but clearly it is in play and Gary called it last week at half what it is at now.
