This was a special election to fill an open seat of a long time incumbent.
The timing is awful...lots of people on vacation...
Many real Republicans are fed up with the RINOs who are in leadership positions in the state...
Schmidt ran a very positive campaign and did not really go after Hackett....

Bottom line is that more than half of registered voters did not show up and even then the dems could not win....NO WAY this is a win for the dems.....
