Elroy,

re:The issue of abortion is solved.

Whattaya think?

Just like a father of an unwanted pregnancy can be held to pay child support - both parties in this case should be made to pay.

Works for me, but having that sort of technology anytime soon isn't really likely, not to mention that it'd likely cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring each to term.

it must be feasible to remove the fetus/unborn child from the womb and keep it alive in some artificial environment.

Elroy, you don't read enough! The final solution is much better than that, human and most likely more economical as well: We have millions of unfertile wannabe mothers out there who would like a fetus implant!
Add to that government subsidized program a creative marketing department - first thing to go would be "fetus implant" now renamed "embryo transplant" - doing their best to boost the ailing supply of relocationable embryos (previously "aborted fetus").
No doubt the need for same embryos would soon sky rocket and call for a lot of action from volonteers filled by people of extraordinary sexual visions. Elroy?...
No doubt the pharma industry would soon yell and scream for goverment support to compensate for lost earnings in the anti baby pill departments.

Steve and Elroy would be sought for candidates for government positions with the possibility of being groomed for POTUS!!
Elroy for his solution to the supply and Steve for solving the other side of same problem.

Have you considered the current law? A woman has the right to kill her unborn child.

Other than that, there are many possibilities available to save the child.
