In Iraq no one can tell who's a bad guy or friendly, so there are a lot of innocents killed every day. On the other hand, some who look innocent are bad guys. It's the same as Vietnam, a FUBAR situation. The only way we can tell for sure if they're bad guys is if we let them shoot at us first. And that's FUBAR too.

So those "lefites" are right, though they don't sympathize with the reality of the situation. If they were frontline troops in Iraq they'd kill some civilians too. You almost have to. Plus there's plenty of collateral damage in urban warfare.
