LEADERSHIP. That is our challenge with the UN. Bush has failed to date and the Bolton appointment is not encouraging. The UN is something that can be of great value to the US and the world. We are its most influential member but that influence is fading as a result of our recent action. We have lost the trust of other nations and our human rights standards have lost alot with the way we have treated detainees. Bush has failed here just as he has in the war on terror or is that the global struggle against extremism or what ever he calls it today. If he were a good leader we would have plenty of troops in this time of war er struggle whatever you want to call it. Instead enlistments are going down. BTW I do think Roberts may turn out to be one of the great justices in our history so I don't think everything about Bush is bad just most things.
