Ted, Just because a teacher joins a union does not mean that the quality of teaching declines.

I never said that. I'm saying that the local and state governments ought to be representing the interests of the people more than the interests of the unions. If higher quality education requires better pay for teachers, so be it, but both should be closely tied. Otherwise, it's just a special interest giveaway.

Its sounds to me that you are more worried about your wallet than the public's interest.

I'm worried about getting the most out of my tax dollar as possible.
