Are you saying the stats they quote on foreign languages spoken in the Army in 04 were wrong? I remember in reading all the articles and books about the SF in Afghanistan that one of the biggest problem they had was lack of interpreters.

Yes, the stats are wrong/incomplete. Just like the last article you posted from them was inaccurate.

There are very very few foreign countries where you can deploy 40 A teams and have an interpreter on every team. All the men speak at least one foreign language but no team speaks them all. They got their interpreters, as they always do, and it didn't take them long.
