"A beginning so complex that science cannot yet explain it"

Until you can test it, and science can "explain" it- it's religion. God may also be so complex science can't explain him- that doesn't make God science-yet. When you can get a chunk of God, and look at it in the lab, and test it's properties, repeatedly, then it's science. It's all well and good to say evolution doesn't explain everything (in fact, science requires that you look at everything that way) but that doesn't mean a void of knowledge means we jump to an "intelligence" we have no evidence for. We have creatures which came in to existence at some point, and then changed, and filled every niche on this planet, and we infer intelligence from that? That's a leap of faith, not science.

I know about Gilder.

We are not going to agree on this.
