I hope you never need a lawyer, at least a criminal defense attorney, because if you do and you disapprove of the tactic I describe, you are the one who might suffer thanks to a lawyer whose skills you would ask him not to use.

I concur with the wish that you never need a criminal lawyer, but not because I think there's something wrong with the way you think. Most people go through life just fine without lawyers, except when they buy a house or write a will.
