Carter deserves your full respect. He is right about Iraq. He is a very honest and ethical person, has devoted the last 20 years to helping the world in real and important ways, is really the one who spreads democracy (not Bush) and was the only truly Christian president we've had in our lifetimes. In fact he should be a role model for all evangelical Christians. Carter's hopeful progressive "new South" based on racial unity is far preferable to the divided wedge issue angry south of the Bush-Rove's making. The rightwing politicking in the south these days brings out the worst about the place.
