How offensive. I'm not making "excuses". I'm giving reasons for something. I don't need excuses, since I have done nothing that needs to be excused. I am just so offended by this whole spiel from you. When a group of men talk about female posters in a very hostile manner, that is persecution. When men (or women) follow someone from thread to thread, and post about them repeatedly, and in a hostile manner, that is persecution. There isn't anything one can DO about persecution, but to say it isn't persecution is just wildly irrational, and offends me so totally I don't think I ever want to speak to you again. My patience for this kind of whitewashing of bad behavior on SI is gone. I don't want to talk about people myself, or hold their posts up to the kind of scrutiny they really deserve, but what goes on here is persecution, and it is ugly, and it's disgusting, and it is all the more disgusting when people won't own up to it. At least some people who do it admit to doing it, and then say they have "reasons" for it. You pretend it doesn't even exist. Ick
