My reading has been the suitcase nukes are more a "portable" than really a "suitcase". Two men to move one, the pieces weigh about 180 pounds.

Its pretty clear to me at least what they are up to if they get the chance.
A couple of nukes on hand, smuggled into London and the US successfully and then - "boom!"

To those guys like Xmas Eve to our kids.
It could suddenly get awfully crowded up there, long lines to the <80 virgins, I guess.

On a more serious note, let's sincerely hope, however, that what happened on this date 60 years ago will never take place again, anywhere.
