Quit BS'ing, the falling of the Shah took quite awhile and started years before Carter came into power. By the time Carter came in it was already a disaster in the making. Again, what would you have done differently? Invade Iran? Read "The Prize" the history of the oil business and it details the problems Nixon and Ford had as the Iranian problem grew and grew. And quit being a pinhead and attacking the only truly ethical president we've had in our lifetimes, Jimmy Carter.
