I've lived with immigrants as next door neighbors. They were hardworking, honorable men and women. I had no problem with them. They were better than many LEGAL neighbors I've had.

I'm not in favor of illegal immigrants, but if we allow employers to hire them for substandard wages, they're going to keep coming. Cheap labor employers are the cause of immigrants. Demonizing the guys at the bottom accomplishes nothing.

In CA, the government doesn't REALLY want to stop illegals. The business crowd that pulls their strings doesn't either. Same deal nationally.
