Eliminating the Dept of Education a Republican plank for years. Reagan ran on it. That sounds pretty serious to me.

Cut the budget.

It doesn't matter how much the PBS or the NEA budgets are. We as a nation should not be taking granny's money and giving to artists.

Eliminating the wasteful DOE would save at least $60 Billion a year. We don't need it. Schools are funded by local property taxes and by states.
