Band of Brothers was the HBO special using his book, but of course, the book was better than HBO's effort which itself was outstanding. I think all of his WWII books are more historical works using interviews and historical records from the time. worldwar2history.info My favorites were Citizen Soldier, Band of Brothers, Pegasus Bridge, and The Wild Blue. The Wild Blue is all about George McGovern and his B24 crew. Yes, that McGovern...a great man.
