There isn't, really. Each chapter is pretty independent, and most of the lawyers work pro bono.

Be nice, at least two of your favorite people on SI have done work for ACLU.

IMO, the ACLU IS a dangerous group. They never seem to side with America...no matter what administration is in charge

Well, I have to be the Devil's advocate here, Karen. I did a lot of good work at the ACLU this summer, including defending a local business owner's right to fly 10 American flags on his building. It depends on the chapter (they're all independent), and the issue. They do alot of good along with the bad.
