No...but good question.

I don't know about percentage wise, but end of 1968 we had 3,546,000 men and women on active duty not counting Reserves and NG.

On May 31, 2005 the number was 1,431,000.
End of June 2005 figures will probably be released on Aug 10th.

If we had the 2,115,000 more folks we had in uniform during Nam, the WOT would be a completely different ball game.
That would require a 247% strength increase from current levels and our strength levels have been down 10 of the last 11 months...even as we try to increase.
