My goal in life is to become utterly useless. That is when you know you have it made, when you are of absolutely of no use to anyone in the entire world. Uselessness is a privilege few get to experience. You can spend the day sipping gin and tonics at the yacht club instead of scurrying around trying to be of use to someone. I hope to become totally, completely and in all ways useless by the relatively young age of 50 if things work out right. As things stand I am easing into uselessness ... no point in waiting until the last minute.

The useless used to be weeded out. Today they survive! Couple of thousand years more and this thing goes down hill. Over the eons, the useless died of hunger, were killed because they annoyed the productive members of the society. And that was OK. Today, with these moral standards we have they are surviving. Thosse who are not worth the oxygen they breath, are even more problematic. If they fall in four feet they won't stand up again and if there is some grass around you will see exactly what they have been. Look around you! We can't weed them out! It is against the law! Perhaps mankind have had some period of Dark Ages through the thousands of years. If so then we will have a new Dark Age coming. Then those guys would be dealt with, then mankind will recover again abd so it goes. I would like to live through one of those and then weed a few out because then it would be OK...
