I never liked Howard but mostly voted Liberal while in Aus with some votes thrown in for Democrats and Greens. I was only voting LIberal on the basis of economic policy. I figured in the end they would have little effect on those other conservative social stuff they were into. I'd credit the Democrats for any check on the Liberal Party not Labor. How was Howard Reaganizing the tax structure anyway? Nothing they did looked like Reagan. I like Costello and he seemed a responsible bloke as Treasurer.
