BIDU shares are separated into A type and B type. US market has A Type, one sh. = 1 sh. vote. The BIDU owner has B Tyep shares, 1 sh. = 10 sh. votes. The reason for this is to prevent hostile takeover. Hehe, we know whoever that might be<g>

Among all the Chinese companies sold on US market, BIDU is the only one has this type of structure. Some analysts assume this may push small investors away. But the reality bites, small investors love it, at least for now<g>
