How much has the housing price in Shanghai declined since early March when the gov. starts a series of new regulations to control the housing price? The lowest rate of decline is 15%, and the highest rate of decline is 42% (in PuDong area). And this is not done yet. Another wave of price decline will come in Sep.-Oct. By the time it is all done, the housing price might be down, on average, 30% comparing to that before March.

Another interesting aspect, some of the brand new condos are 10% cheaper than the 2nd hand ones (similar design in the same area). This is because those 2nd-hand condos were bought at a much higher price.

And some of the developers in Shanghai have made trips to other countries to sell at a better price.
