Makes sense to me. Thanks. I sincerely doubt that there is any evidence that atrocities committed by American troops during World War II were widespread. Isolated instances of just about any behavior can be found.

On the other hand, you might benefit by reading The Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang, about one of the darkest moments in the Pacific War.

I think it helps to have some sense of scale or perspective when making judgments about others.
