Click and Clack recommend filling with premium. Then when your gage reads 1/2, fill with regular, then premium, then regular etc.....

I caught a ride home from a 50th wedding anniversary celebration tonight in a 2003 Jag and that is what the driver has been doing for over a year. He hasn't noticed any difference in performance.
