Steve, I'm sorry we nuked two cities in Japan in 1945, but at that time, it was considered the best option. Ask most people in Korea or China whether Japan should have been nuked. One Japanese vet of WWII put it best: "What do you think we would have done had we got the bomb first?" Tenchusatsu P.S. - To the bleeding hearts on this thread ... no, I'm not a nuke-lovin' hawk. In fact, I'd love it if we could uninvent the thing. Unfortunately, we can't.
