Why should 9/11 affect her worse? Because it was dead Americans? She shouldn't care about dead Iraqis? I remember to this day a story I read about a war -- and I can't even remember which war (probably Vietnam), or why this happened -- but the reporter mentioned a little kitten that he observed that had starved to death in a cage. The owner had left it, planning on coming back, but never came back. And for some reason, that image has stuck with me. There's something truly pathetic about a dead kitten, or a dead child, and it doesn't have to be your own kitten or your own child to break your heart. Why and how was the woman's family killed? Do you even remember the story?
