The original article about the vaccine was full of qualifications--the supply of eggs to make the vaccine may be low, the general production speed is difficult to ramp up, the vaccine has not been tried in really young and old people, etc. And I think it goes without saying that privileged affluent westerners will probably be the only people who get the vaccine. I still think it is better news than not having an effective vaccine. And I am puzzled at something in your report that says the vaccine has to be a very close match to work, and the virus is already significantly mutated, so that won't work. My own unscientific understanding is that somewhat of a match is still somewhat effective. Is that not true at all?
