Iran and Vietnam are similar. Both wars started on lies and exaggerations, both done without UN cooperation, getting ourselves in the midst of a civil war where he can't tell friend from foe, nor remember why we're there in the first place. As a result, we lose. We may win every battle, but we lose the war. The blame goes to the top, not to the troops. The troops have been supermen. The screw-ups are in the White House.
