Oh yes. Murphey's Law has been following us the last week and have a lot of damage to now get repaired. So true, if it's not one thing, it surely is another.

This old house is beginning to feel its age and is almost as old as I am. We have lived here for 26 years and I have kept it well maintained, but sometimes the law of averages sneaks in and things happen beyond our control, like the water company cutting off the water to repair a break without informing us and then air getting in the lines and causing problems when it is turned on and the air in the lines pops out when you turn a faucet on or blows a faucet open, which it did on the hot water up in our quarters bath behind the house. No flooding but the steam from it mildewed the ceiling and all the sheetrock has to come out and new put back up. The hot water heater started spewing water and flooded the basement. The sump pump stuck and wouldn't drain the water at first, but changing it to another plug started it right up. Had a new heater installed. After all this I will surely be ready for a vacation or be looking for a new home in the near future. Homes in our neighborhood are moving pretty quickly and it may just be a time to sell. Still have to think about that more as we are inside the loop and can come and go very easily which is very convenient in our heavy traffic city.

The quarters are not occupied at this time and the cleaning help goes up there twice a month to clean it and must not have turned the handles enough to keep it from blowing out. We did get a letter from the Water Dept. that we were running a lot of water through the meter and to check all the water lines coming into the house. Thank goodness they are going to adjust our bill as it was over a thousand dollars this month and is usually around two hundred in the summer because we run the yard sprinkler system three times a week and have a big yard.

Oh, good grief, R~~ That's serious, and I'm so sorry to hear he is so ill!!! Are you going to be the prime nurse? What happened that he didn't make it to the hospital, or did he, and it burst there???

You're right...One thing right after another, it seems. I day dream of having a whole week, that is so boring, that I can hardly think for wondering what is offkilter...LOL!

Prayers and Good Thoughts to all of you, and especially Michael!
