You see analysts with spiky hair in the private sector and oldies in academia.


It's hard nowadays to get to me a professor before age 30 and hard for anyone to take you too seriously before age 40 :)

There are the few Lawrence Summers (President of Harvard, former Treasury Secretary, former chief Economist of the World Bank blah blah) who got tenure as a full prof from Harvard at 27 (but his uncles were both Nobel Prize winners in Econ.). Some people get a PhD at 27 but less and less. More and more people get private or government sector experience before going on to get a PhD.

I'm 40. I look a little younger perhaps. Not sure how 40 year olds are meant to feel. But I don't live like the typical 40 year old whatever that is.
