but are you arguing that boys aged 17 are not at risk to gay men? I'm arguing that the boys and girls of any age are at risk to men and women of poor character, men or women who would abuse their positions of trust and authority as Scout leaders and act out sexually with their charges. We use family connections and background checks to keep pedophiles out of Cub Scouts. I would think you would use such vehicles to keep out men of poor character regardless of sexual preference.
