My dad recently sold all his rental properties ... right before he did there was a problem with a tenant whose toilet was clogged, called late at night wanted a plumber over right away .. plumber found it was clogged by 19 condoms, tenant said she had no idea how they got in there, lol.

He once lost a really good tenant who turned out to be some kind of Columbian narco-terrorist wanted by Interpol.

I'm already seeing the additional stresses down here in South Florida that is much worse than you and I experienced in normal times. A lot of working folks that just want a place to live are being squeezed big time due to condo conversions and new age landlords that have to raise the rent 30-50% to cover some of their additional costs. Population of households that need affordable housing is growing the most while the supply of housing growth is mostly at the higher end. I'd imagine we'll be hearing a lot more about violent acts against the landlord. Just our new ownership society on steroids.
