it sure seems like Mike Farris, the big activist for religious freedom, is discriminating on the basis of religion. Support of religious freedom in the public arena is different, though, from the conformity one expects in one's personal church. I take his point on that. Whether he's sincere about I I can't know. [Re his Statement of Faith. I read that. Then I read it again. And I was overcome by this immediate need to run for my life--to get out into the sunshine and run barefoot in the grass. It was so cramped and dour that I started feeling depressed. I swam laps and laps in the bright sunshine and sparkling water and managed to shake it off. Hard for me to reconcile that piece with bright eyed and bushy tailed college kids on campus.]
