Columnist Robert Novak was suspended by CNN after he swore profanely and then walked out of the CNN studio rather than answer questions about his role in the CIA leak.1 The American Prospect reports that jailed New York Times reporter Judith Miller met with Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, Scooter Libby, and discussed Valerie Plame six days before Plame's undercover status with the CIA was revealed.2 Finally, after a week and 17,740 entries from MoveOn members we have a winner in the Fire Karl Rove Slogan Contest. I may take you up on "the end of suburbia", if netflix doesn't list an availability date soon. I have it in my "saved" folder, so hopefully it's nearing release. Have you ever seen the movie "The Yes Men"? ( netflix.com ) I highly recommend it. I first heard about them when they pranked BBC into thinking they were part of the brass at Union Carbide, this explains that "identity correction" assignment: democracynow.org Anyway, they made a movie in 2004 of some of the other successful pranks. It is so damn funny, I still laugh thinking about it... I don't want to give it away if you've not seen it so I'll stop. It's available on netflix and who knows where else.
