Why, because if you were not a mason back in mid to late fifties or early 60's you didn't move up the corp ladder where i worked. I was told i couldn't get promoted because i belonged to kofc and wasn't a mason My Father joined in the 30s because all the top management in his company was a member. Took off his ring when he took over a district in the south for them because all the Union officials he had to deal with tried to take advantage of his membership.
