Cheney personally lobbied India for Enron after he was VP, the VP basically acting as a corporate lobbyist for a private corporation. Why? Because Enron had not only given them oodles of money but had engineered the massive gouging campaign of 2000-2001 which made the Texas energy business billions of dirty dollars, some of which flowed back to the Bush-Cheney campaign. Bush-Cheney favorite Ed Gillespie served as as Enron's PR lobbyist, running an illegally financed PAC which spent 7 million in Enron gouged money on TV ads lying to the public that Grey Davis and democrats were responsible for the phony energy crisis. After Gillespie helped Enron get away with that, he was promoted to head the RNC by Bush.
