The US does have a lot of land, but how much of that land is protected land? How much is swamp land? How much is not connected to good roads or services? How much of that land would be impractical to build big communuties on because of flood or earthquake or inability to get water there or sewage out? I still think we have a lot of land with those factors - but then you need the people to come in and make use of the land. We have 300 million, india 1 billion, china 1 billion, africa going to have the highest population growth over the next 50 years. Can we import enough latino's to really compete in that time? At some point, the system will collapse under its own weight, too many people crammed into too little space makes everyone unhappy and frustrated and things are no longer efficient. I am exiting the bubble market for an area that has lots of natural resources still - trees or water and very low levels of people - stress free living baby. I am convinced those that are in power are going to do EVERYTHING they can to make sure thier reigns of power stay - they do not want to lose control of the stagecoach.

Seems to me if they allow either hyper deflation or hyper inlfation - they lose control - so they are gonna fight either one of those extremes with all thier might.
