I met a couple in Northern CA a while back. They were itching to get out of CA because they thought it was too expensive, the taxes were too high and the regulations surrounding his business were oppressive. They were determined to find a cheaper, lower tax location with less government but were completely dismayed that everywhere that seemed to fit the bill was predominantly Republican and they didn't think they could stand to live around Republicans. I didn't say a word, I just smiled.
