When you finally do get a box, you will find you can still run everything with one wand.

Really?

I haven't had a box for years but the thing they gave me early on before cable-ready TVs was prehistoric and I was so glad to get away from that. Plus I know that universal remote controls rarely control everything so it's hard to imagine that dealing with a box could ever be effective let alone smooth.

I wish Comcast had someplace where you could go, touch the stuff, and get a demo. Maybe it would work, but I am doubtful.

It's the place where they can make a fortune

I was checking it Comcast's packages again this morning and the box and remote control come bundled with the service. Digital is twenty bucks extra so I suppose some of that is box and remote control rental.
