It would seem to be fairly easy to come up with an approximate figure for the total VAT fraud. The difference between the current figures and the previous period exports, mulitplied by the tax, is close enough for me.

"The ONS said an investigation into the scam was being set up and said trade estimates could change as the probe progresses. It said it could not yet estimate the value of the fraud."
