re:Guns for sport is OK, as long as it's well-regulated and not confused with self-defense.

I'm squarely in the sport camp - although at the range you rub shoulders with the, shall we say, more paranoid types. Most are weekend idiots, but a I have one friend who takes his self defense training very seriously and enrolls in many very expensive classes taught by very qualified instructors. He also does a lot of martial arts.

I fought in a couple tournaments a long time ago - really fun.
