Hello Gem. You ask "Why is sound reason based on firm principle to promote innovative change an abhorrent idea among your group here?"

It is not at all is my answer.

Gem you ask "Why is there a paradox between the term liberal (meaning open to new ideas and actions) and the rigid left wing marching orders?"

Huh? That question is "loaded" for sure. Do you ever imagine that Democrat voters follow marching orders? We're known for not doing that.
I believe the wingers do that, don't they? They agree with Bush's actions? Can you imagine that? It's awesome isn't it?

Why is there a paradox between the term liberal (meaning open to new ideas and actions) and the rigid left wing marching orders?

Well, in actuality, the problem is that the liberal folks have nobody to give the orders, and even if the orders are given, everybody goes their own way.
