Tightening of credit, loss of a ton of RE related jobs & multiplier in contraction of economic activity, record gap between costs of ownership versus equivalent rent or median incomes and reversal of cf the current irrational exuberance of RE as a risk free asset class will do many areas in. Only some of this was mentioned by the suits on the podium<g>

I always love how they love to tie the early 1990's downturn in LA as due primarily to the loss off jobs from the aerospace industry. Maybe they'll blame the coming Palm Beach County collapse on Scripps or Tyco<g>
